Hi,
This is my first blog and I have decided to make one about rap artists all over the world who write music with a meaning and don’t talk about money fame and fortune in all their tracks. Every artist’s main goal is to be successful and to get all the fame and fortune they can achieve but it’s rare to find an artist that would sacrifice that and be the voice for the voiceless, the voice for the oppressed. Money can buy nearly everything but not happiness.

This blog has been made so people can share their thoughts and opinions or artists that make music with a meaning.

good blog. are you gonna be updating it with more non commercial artists? and you cant blame artist for going commercial its everyone's goal to become rich. unfortunately that's the only way for people to become big by going commercial people dont like songs that don't remind them about suffering.
Thank you for spending time looking at my blog. Yes i will be updating it with new videos and artists. Its not bad to go commercial but with most artists all the fame gets to their heads they forget to keep it real. they are artist that have made it big without signing onto a record label like immortal technique, lowkey and etc. That's not entirely true about people not liking songs that remind them of suffering because rap was really about the struggle one was going through their everyday life. and ignorance isn’t the way forward. We have to make the difference to make the world a better place.
Music....what is music? Well i think its entertainment am i right? Yes i'am.
Entertainment is ment to be fun and make people have a good time....so whats the point of doing it if aint going to entertain anyone and just put thoughts into peoples head. Yes it might be away of expressing oneself but then you've got to ask yourself why these artist have not made it yet? Its because they are not commercial enough and no one is 'feeling' them.
Music has changed......especially hip hop i remember when it was all about telling the truth your struggle but lately hip hop has become more like pop. If not pop they are lying hypocrites Rappers makes this fake gangster look for themselves telling people how they were gangbangers, drug dealers from broken homes but the truth is they were just ordinary people. Some like rick ross were policeman claiming to be a full time feared gangster. Hiphop is filled with sell-outs and hypocrites. Nas was right hip-hop is dead but slowly being revived by new and real artists.
I see you have added more posts to it. With great music, I was meant to comment on this yesterday but forgot. Keep this blog alive....pls update. I have seen enough of them go dead because the creator can’t be asked to update it! Thanks Yusuf786 for a great blog! I will keep coming back to it, if you update it!
FANTASTIC BLOG!! it is great to see a blog that deals with artists that speak what they think and say that which needs to be said. Are you going to be posting the artist latest videos and keep us informed on what they are up to?
i see some very nice music here from artists, i aint heard before but i'm liking the music... non-commerical music is a nice way to take you away from the music that is the charts and artists bragging about how rich they are... very nice blog :)
@Revolutionary Music. :) Of course I’ll keep updating. This is just the beginning. I still got loads more artists out there that speak the truth. From all over the UK & US, Watch this space! All your feedback is much appreciated! Thank you
Thankyou worldthink. If you have facebook all artists have got a page for themselves which you can see and keep up to date with their upcoming events. I will message you their facebook/bebo/myspace pages. I will keep you posted with any other releases. Just keep watching this blog :). Thankyou, for spending your time on my blog
Chris im glad i could introduce you to some real underground artists who deserve to be played on radio stations and etc. I know commercial music does sound repetitive and boring sometimes. Especially when they are being played in shops, on the radio, at uni, and etc lol. Thank you for commenting on my blog. Much appreciated :)
I got your private message with all their facebook pages and myspace pages. Im thinking off starting a blog of my own which one is better facebook or myspace lol. Keep blogging my fellow blogger and you never know your blog might be the next big thing!
Amazing blog out of personal intrest I think that this is a topic that you like And are you going to keep us all updated with the latest non-commercial music? Also why are these artists who have got raw talent not recognised on the radio as much as most other artists But when I was reading your intro you said that commercial artists mainly do it for the money and fame but what about people who sing for charity. How can you blame the commercial artists I mean it is everyone's goal to be sucssesfull in life and to make a living by making money but otherwise the blog is amazing but I think you need to create more awareness
Yasin thank you for spending time and commenting on the blog. Personally I prefer music with a meaning not just any music. All the commercial stuff gets boring after some time. They haven’t been recognised because they are not going to get signed by a record label and have all their songs written for them. Once you get signed to a record label that’s where your fame comes in they will invest money to make you someone big. Like get you a studio record your album and all the promotion for it but most of your profits will go straight back to your record label. You’ll get a cut but it won’t be enough. The money you make will be from concerts and merchandise. Your going to get a cut out of the albums you sell but its not enough for you o make a living from. And the stuff your saying will be what they want you to say not what you want to say.
They are not always singing for charity are they? Yes, some artists do make a track for a charity which is good on them but at the same time it’s improving their reputation. Singing about how you waste money in clubs clothes cars and stuff doesn’t get justified by a single for a charity right? Non commercial artists that’s what they do all or most of the time. Make you aware about the conditions they and others a living in. Have you even listened to these underground artists?
And lastly obviously everyone wants to be successful but it does come with a price that is forgetting your roots and selling your self and your soul!? Haven’t you herd all the subliminal message sin the mainstream music of today. They are so many artists out there that have sold themselves to a record label or an elite group called the illuminate, which is a whole other topic. Most of the artists today have sold their souls for fame and fortune. That’s how desperate people become and it’s really disappointing.
